Somatic Mindfulness

We, as humans, possess large amounts of self-healing abilities that, mostly, remain untapped. These abilities are efficient and effective processes Somatic Mindfulness is designed to access. 

You will learn a system of Somatic Mindfulness, largely based on Autogenic Therapy, which is a method of easy and systematic mental exercises designed to produce a state of calmness and deep relaxation within our nervous system. 

Autogenic Therapy has proven to be a practical method of self-help that is very powerful. It gives us the ability to cope with the stress that life presents to us. It also has been used to treat emotional and physical illnesses that have been caused or exacerbated by stress.

Along with Autogenic Therapy, this offering also draws on Zen meditation and neurobiology as sources of practical wisdom.

What you will learn is a life skill that:

After completing the SOMATIC MINDFULNESS course you will:

  • Have the ability to not be so reactive, but instead, respond
  • Sleep better
  • Experience better digestion
  • Be able to implement the antidote for anxiety
  • Begin to reveal your natural self, where peace, love and creativity reside
  • Have a tool to calm your nervous system
  • Be able to self-regulate your nervous system
  • Improve brain function, focus, memory and clear thinking
  • Have relief from migraine headaches
  • Experience improvement in chronic health problems
  • Have a tool to prepare for childbirth.
No previous knowledge or experience is required, however, you will be required to implement a daily practice of Somatic Mindfulness.

Before the course I was always feeling that I couldn’t keep up with life.  I felt unsatisfied, stress and was very grumpy towards the people I love in my life and I felt I was stuck in a rut I couldn’t get out of, no matter what I tried.  This course helped me to find me.  I am now, a joyful person, a mother my kid likes to hang out with and I have a new-found hope for the future.
